Additional documents you need to upload or supply:
- A copy of your Passport Photo Page
- Head and shoulders photo for ID card (smiling is encouraged)
- Latest school report
- Attendance report or letter from school stating how many days absent last semester
- Vaccination history
- Signed Declarations
- Letter from students to homestay, including photos with family, friends and activities they enjoy.
- Students may be requested to send letters of explanation or recommendation.
- Indicate on application if Orewa College (Uni-Care) Insurance requested. If your own insurance is selected, provide policy as soon as possible.
- Flights required as soon as possible but no later than 4 weeks before arrival. Arrival and departure should be within 5 days of enrolment period. Anything outside this, please check with us.

International students attending Orewa College for longer than two Terms (6 months) are required to purchase a school uniform. The cost for this is $300-$400. You can purchase this from the Uniform Shop before or during the Orientation Programme. Click here for more information.
If students are enrolled for two terms or less, they can hire a second hand uniform from the International Department - $120 for all items needed.
They will need their own socks and shoes and/or sandals. If students want to bring their own black shoes/sandals, please check the uniform regulations link above to check what shoes/sandals are acceptable.
Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at www.health.govt.nz.
The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz.
International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand. We recommend and can arrange Unicare – New Zealand Student Plan cover. Further information can be viewed on their website at www.uni-care.org.
