House - Wearable Arts 2024

House - Wearable Arts 2024

The Wearable Arts House competition is one of the most anticipated events of the year!

This incredible event showcases the skill and craftsmanship of our designers, transforming old materials into amazing garments. The theme and criteria focus on turning trash into fashion. Participants used recyclable items to construct garments of sound construction. In today's world, we throw away many items, whether they are actual rubbish or just being replaced by something new.

Students had to think creatively about what we consider trash. Garments were made from various items such as old curtains, losing lotto tickets and even the main sail from a Peter Blake yacht. The craftsmanship and originality of these garments were so impressive that they could stand on a worldwide stage.
