Orewa's Ochiba Dojo Bring Home Medals From Auckland Stealth Jiu Jitsu Competition

Orewa College studets from Ochiba Dojo bring home medals at Auckland Stealth Jiu Jitsu competition.

Thirteen Orewa College students took to the mats on 15 March, proudly representing both our kura and the Ochiba Dojo at the Auckland Stealth Grappling competition.

The event brought together some of the best young jiu jitsu athletes in Tāmaki Makaurau. Our students showed real grit and determination, returning home with an incredible haul of medals across every division.

Double gold winners: Charlie Theron, Elias and Devon Metzger-Feki, Andy and Manu Cooper, and Ben De Vries. 

Double silver: Lee-Lynn De Vries, Brodie May, Jaks Wintle, Jakob Nguyen. 

Gold and silver: Nate Morrissey. 

Bronze and silver: Seth Heke. 

Double bronze: Nathan Miller.

These results are a testament to the time and dedication these martial artists have invested in their sport and the encouragement of their whānau and coaches behind the scenes.
