Orewa College’s Year 7 girls football team finishes strong at North Harbour Zone Day with support from students, coaches, and whānau.

Our Year 7 girls football team did Orewa College proud at the North Harbour Intermediate Schools Zone Day on 26 May.

Held at Becroft Park with 13 schools competing, the team played seven spirited games and placed 6th overall. The final match came down to a nail-biting penalty shootout.

Coach Natalie Rees was full of praise for the team’s effort. Special thanks to senior students Fynn Henoch and Anton Stein, who helped train the tea even on chilly mornings. Shoutout also to Callum Carncross for driving the team, and to all the parents and grandparents who came to cheer from the sidelines.
