A dazzling Moulin Rouge-themed ball brought Orewa College students together for an unforgettable evening of elegance, music, and celebration.
Orewa College’s 2025 School Ball transported ākonga to a magical evening beneath Parisian lights and feather boas. Held on Saturday 24 May at Ellerslie Racecourse, the event embraced the glamour of Moulin Rouge, with stunning décor from First Scene and styling by Gail Boshard.
Students were praised by venue staff for their outstanding behaviour, a testament to the manaakitanga and maturity they brought to the evening. Behind the scenes, the event was powered by the dedicated efforts of Anna Kenny, Dennis Pollock, and Gail Boshard, who made the night possible.
A huge thank you to Anna Kenny, Dennis Pollock and Gail Boshard for their tireless mahi behind the scenes, and to Ball Committee leader Megan Postlewaight and her team, including Lachlan Buckley, Brooke McGhie and Alyssa Sou, for bringing the vision to life. Sarah Postlewaight’s creative design added a final touch of flair, supported by the generous assistance of Dean Preston-Thomas and Mary Reihana.
