Orewa College student Julius Chivell claims the North Island Junior Novice title in boxing. Discover how his dedication in and out of the ring reflects our kura values.

Rising Through the Ranks 

Julius Chivell is making a name for himself in the New Zealand amateur boxing scene. A Year 10 student, Julius recently claimed the Junior Male Novice title at the North Island Boxing Championships held in Tauranga. Representing Bunker Boxing and coached by Nikolas Charalampous, he impressed with his composure and speed throughout the tournament.

Already the holder of the Waikato Cadet Belt, Julius continues to rise through the national ranks. His achievements are a reflection not only of talent but of unwavering focus and discipline.

“I can’t wait for Auckland Champs,” said Julius. “Although I have a North Island title, I want a hometown title on my record.”
