Orewa College dance crews earn recognition for lighting up the stage
Orewa College hip hop crews Oscillations and Osmic brought both talent and energy to this year’s Velocity Dance Competition.
Oscillations took out 1st place in the 11–13 teams category with a standout routine choreographed by Head Boy Lachlan Buckley. The judges praised their precision and stage presence.
Not far behind, Osmic earned an honourable mention for their strong performance and dynamic teamwork. Both crews stood out not just for their moves, but for their attitude.
Offstage, the vibe was just as impressive. Crew members hyped each other up, shared choreography, and celebrated everyone’s wins, proving that competition and friendship can thrive together.
This is the continuation of an outstanding year for both teams, who carry their momentum into the next competition.
