Japanese exchange group connects with Aotearoa’s wildlife and culture

Japanese language exchange students from Hosei University had a memorable visit to Auckland Zoo on Monday 18 August, getting up close with some of Aotearoa’s most iconic wildlife.

The students were excited to see native birds and animals, gaining a richer understanding of New Zealand’s natural environment and biodiversity. For many, it was a standout moment in their exchange experience.

This trip not only brought learning to life but also strengthened the cross-cultural connections at the heart of our kura’s international programmeand Orewa College's long running relationship with Hosei University in Japan.
