Orewa College students achieve great results in basketball competition

Orewa College’s Year 7 and 8 basketball teams represented the kura with pride at the North Harbour Zone Days on 18 August.

The Year 7 and 8 boys’ team faced strong competition and showed real grit and teamwork across their games, finishing a solid ninth overall. Their commitment and sportsmanship stood out.

The girls’ team delivered an especially exciting run, winning a thrilling semi-final over Belmont by just two points. They progressed to the final against Murrays Bay Intermediate and secured a fantastic second-place finish after a close match.
