Year 7-led stalls, kai, games and fun set to fill the Arts Centre on 17 September

Orewa College Year 7 ākonga are putting their mahi on show at this year’s Market Evening, a celebration of learning, coming up on Wednesday 17 September.

Held from 6pm to 8pm at the Orewa Arts & Event Centre, the event will feature a lively mix of student-led stalls, tasty kai, and whānau-friendly fun. Every stall is the result of weeks of mahi in class, with students designing, producing and marketing their own products or activities.

“Join us for an unforgettable evening showcasing the culmination of months of hard work from all Year 7 students and teachers,” said Kody Archer. “It’s a vibrant marketplace full of innovative ideas, fun games, food trucks, and entertainment for the whole whānau. This event is not only a celebration, but a fundraiser to improve our Year 7 and 8 outdoor area.”

Alongside the student displays, the evening will offer food trucks, a sausage sizzle, entertainment, and classic games for tamariki. The whole kura community is warmly invited.
