Design Technology students showcased their creativity and skill at the 2025 Orewa College Showcase.

Orewa Arts and Events Centre transformed into a celebration of innovation and hard work

The Orewa Arts and Events Centre was transformed into a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation and hard work for this year’s Design Technology Showcase.

Exemplary student work filled the space including: cleverly engineered chicken coops and immersive gaming projects to striking architectural models and elegant Japanese-inspired garments. The diverse range of projects on display reflected the talent of ākonga across all areas of Design Technology.

Whānau, friends, and staff had the opportunity to admire the exhibits and congratulate students for their exceptional mahi. The evening was made even more special by a buffet of canapés, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented by the talented Hospitality students. Their attention to detail impressed everyone who attended.

The Showcase not only celebrated the achievements of current ākonga, but also sparked the imagination of the next generation of young designers and technologists at Orewa College.
