Outstanding performers across music, drama, kapa haka and more were celebrated at the 2025 Performing Arts Prizegiving at Orewa College.

The 2025 Performing Arts Prizegiving was a vibrant celebration of creativity, dedication, and talent across the arts at Orewa College. Held in the OAEC, the evening featured powerful performances from the Senior Jazz Band, Level 3 drama student Sian Griffiths, original dance choreography by Megan Postleweight, excerpts from the senior drama ensemble, and a moving duet from Christine Cooke and Katie Broomhead.

Award recipients were celebrated for their outstanding contributions to the cultural life of our kura. Honours went to Bo Faleali'i and Micah Taiapa (Kapa Haka), Sian Griffiths (Drama), Lachlan Buckley (Dance and ShowQuest), Il’ya Allen (Music), Madeleine Edwards-Croul (Debating), Felix Love (Stage Technology), and Chanel Iopu Aso (Pasifika).

Performer of the Year was awarded to Sarah Postleweight for her exceptional leadership and artistry across multiple performing arts disciplines.

Ngā mihi to all who made the evening such a memorable celebration of wairua, talent, and dedication.
