Sarah Postlewaight wins Performer of the Year at the 2025 Orewa College Performing Arts Prizegiving.

Performing Arts star recognised for outstanding contribution and leadership across the arts

Sarah Postlewaight has been named 2025 Performer of the Year, recognising her excellence across Dance, Music, and Drama, along with her outstanding leadership in the performing arts.

A standout figure in the creative life of the kura, Sarah performed in the Senior Musical, Dance Festival, ShowQuest, and Battle of the Bands, and also completed her Contemporary Dance exam.

Her leadership as Performing Arts Manukura saw her bring ākonga together through collaboration, founding the Music Club and choreographing major events including the Ball Dance and Dance Festival finale.

Sarah’s passion for the arts, and her commitment to uplifting others, made her a clear and deserving choice for the top award at this year’s Performing Arts Prizegiving.

A special thanks to Becky Hilliar, Gail Boshard, Geoffrey Heaney, and David Popper for their mahi in organising the evening and supporting our kura’s creative ākonga.
