Middle School ākonga celebrate achievements at Performing Arts prizegiving

Middle School ākonga gathered in the Orewa Arts & Events Centre for a special ceremony celebrating excellence across the performing arts. The prizegiving recognised students who have achieved in disciplines ranging from kapa haka and drama to music, dance, debating and Pasifika performance.

The event also featured live performances, giving whānau and staff a chance to see the talent and passion that makes our kura’s arts community so vibrant.

William Fairburn received the Kapa Haka Award while Maamalea Vaea received the Pasifika Award. Denver Lilley was awarded the Drama Award. The Dance Award went to Mikah Gemmell with Ernesto Pfeiffer receiving the Music Award, Raina Baek was presented the Debating Award.
