The Senior Girls A Volleyball team secured 2–0 wins over Rangitoto College and Takapuna Grammar in their opening matches at Orewa College.

Orewa College's Senior Girls A Volleyball team began their 2026 season at home with two straight-set wins over Rangitoto College and Takapuna Grammar.

Playing their first matches following trials held during the exam break, the Senior Girls A Volleyball team settled quickly into both fixtures and maintained control across each set. The 2–0 results reflected a composed start against two established North Harbour opponents.

Emily Bennett said the opening games set a positive tone for the season. “This was a really great game and an even greater start to the season. We are all very excited for what is to come,” she said.

Many members of the squad bring several years of volleyball experience, which showed in their communication and on-court structure. With the first round now complete, the team will continue building combinations and consistency through weekly training and competition.

The early results provide a steady foundation as the season progresses.
