Orewa College riders secure three podium finishes at the Auckland Schools Shreddah Funduro Race 2 in Maraetai.
Maraetai, East Auckland, hosted the Auckland Schools Shreddah Funduro Race 2, where seven Orewa College riders competed across one of the region’s more technical mountain biking courses.
In the four-stage category, Corban Shriane placed first in the Under 13 Boys division. His brother, Campbell Shriane, followed with second place in the Under 14 Boys. In the six-stage category, Logan Marshall secured first in the Under 14 Boys, adding a third podium finish for the college.
Lucas Gibbons, Carter Pemberton, Kyron Sams, and Johnny Stil also represented Orewa College, completing the course across their respective categories.
The Shreddah Funduro series combines timed downhill stages with untimed transitions, testing both technical skill and endurance. Results from Maraetai have strengthened Orewa College’s position in the overall school standings as the series continues.
The event was organised by the Pohutukawa Coast Bike Club, which supports school-aged riders across the Auckland region. Orewa College riders will continue competing in upcoming rounds as they build towards the end of the series.
