Orewa College invites students to join Kapa Haka, building skills in te reo Māori and tikanga ahead of key events.
Sessions begin in Term 2, preparing for Matariki and Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga.
Orewa College is welcoming new members to its Kapa Haka programme for Term 2.
Students in Years 9 to 11 can attend sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. The programme provides an opportunity to develop skills in performance, strengthen understanding of te reo Māori and tikanga, and prepare for upcoming events including Matariki and Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga.
Year 7 and 8 students can participate through the weekly electives programme during school hours.
