Seiko High School Visit Strengthens Longstanding Partnership

Seiko High School students visit Orewa College, continuing a 23-year cultural exchange tradition.

Students experience New Zealand culture and school life during their stay.

Orewa College welcomed students from Seiko High School in Japan from 16 to 26 March, continuing a partnership that has been in place since 2003. During their seven school days, students participated in ESOL lessons focused on New Zealand culture and spent time experiencing local activities, including a visit to Tree Adventures.

The visit included both a welcome and farewell in the Orewa College Events Centre. During their stay, students learned and performed “Ka Mate,” demonstrating their engagement with te ao Māori.

This long-standing exchange reflects the strong connection between the two schools and the shared commitment to cultural understanding and learning.
